HOW TO VIEW ALL BLOG POSTS

Thought I better explain to any new folks how to view all the 39 postings I made.  To the right below our photo you will see "Blog Archive".  This is the way you navigate the postings.  The blog starts at the end of the trip and goes backwards.  You see August has 11 postings including this one.  Click on each post to read what happened that day.  There were 28 postings made during July.  Click on July to find that listing, then click on each day separately to read the daily posting.
Sometimes when you open the posting some photos will not open.  You will have try again by
re-clicking on that day or maybe even starting over by closing blog site and starting over.
The photos on blog are not that big so you really do not get full effect of the scenery.  You can click on the first photo which will enlarge it.  Then at bottom you can click on each of the other mini-photos to enlarge and work you way through all on that posting.  Only problem is when you do this you will not see the "caption" I may have written under the photo.  I recommend you go through the posting reading the photo captions then returning to go through again, this time enlarging them.

THE END--WHAT AN ADVENTURE!!!

Rebecca and I are so glad to have shared the past month with our very good friends (and still friends after 30 days together!!) Charlotte and Jane.  We have known Charlotte for over 30 years and Jane for over 20 years.  I think it is amazing how well they got along and were such good suite mates.  They were like two peas in a pod even though they had slightly (??) different personalities.
We all would highly recommend you doing this itinerary.  We saw some extraordinary scenery in the fjords of Norway; beautiful architecture in the old Medieval cities; saw lots of churches, cathedrals, monuments, museums; experienced many different cultures and people; learned much about ancient and 20th century history of the Scandinavian and the Baltic countries; made new friends; enjoyed lots FRESH fish and other good food on board; probably enjoyed a little too much good wine; and finally, had the most incredible weather ever in that part of the world for the whole month.  This cruise would have been much less enjoyable had the weather been different.  As you have been reading in this blog, we enjoyed sunny skies and comfortable temperatures for 99% of the time.
It was good to see many old passenger friends who we have cruised with before on our World Cruise, Circle South America cruise, and Beijing to London cruise.  For Rebecca and I, the highlight on any Regent cruise is seeing our crew member friends.  Many remember our names even though we have forgotten theirs, but not their faces.  This is the main reason we keep returning to Regent Seven Seas cruise line.  Smiling faces and great service make us feel right at home.  We have now 340 nights sailed on Regent.
Our next Regent adventure will begin on November 3rd of this year when we depart from the Port of Miami for a 34 day cruise on Regent's Mariner that ends up in Tahiti.  Basically it hits northern South American, Central America, through the Panama Canal, up the west coast of \Central America and Mexico with a stop in Los Angeles. The second segment of the cruise stops at four of the Hawaiian Islands before continuing to several French Polynesian Islands ending up in Tahiti on December 7th.  We will be on Maui for Thanksgiving.
I hope you have enjoyed this "story" of our Norwegian Fjords and Baltic adventure.  It required over 3 hours a day to do each posting.  I enjoy doing it but it missed out on enjoying the cruise to its max.  I have not decided if I will do a blog on our November cruise.  There is more time with lots of days at sea so will make that decision later.
I put 3 other postings on the blog this morning:  Trip Home plus two photo postings.  Thanks for spending your time to read my story.
