This is our position at noon today on our way sailing south along the Norwegian coast for our next port at Geiranger, Norway. We will be there tomorrow at noon after stopping in Hellesyit to drop some passengers for an excursion that will end up in Geiranger in the afternoon.
The sea is smooth again today with overcast skies and a temperature of 64F but it feels cooler somehow up on pool deck. Our chef and his team have prepared a seafood extravaganza for lunch there today. I went back for thirds???
Sushi
Grilling fresh Norwegian cod, seafood spears, and more.
Our favorite, fresh Norwegian salmon in puff pastry. Sooooooo good!
Shrimp, muscles, and crab.
Seafood pasta to order
More grilled fish and big pot of seafood soup.
Here are some photos I took in Prime 7 the evening we dined there on Rebecca's birthday.
Birthday dinner in Prime 7, the steakhouse.
I ordered a nice bottle of Cabernet (additional charge but reasonable) and our wine sommelier will "candle it" so no sediments leave the bottle.
The maitre'd, Sylvester, is showing me a couple rib eye steaks so I can pick which one I want. I like a lot of "marbling" (streaks of fat in the meat).
This is final product of the one I chose. Was yummy!
One of the appetizers
"Surf & Turf"---filet with lobster tail on top. Also yummy!
Ah, dessert???
The girls dancing in the Voyager Lounge after dinner.
This is my duck entree from last night's dinner in Signatures, the French restaurant. Not so yummy but nice presentation.
Tonight at 6:00 pm is the "Crew Capers Show". Always a fun show put on by some of our crew members featuring songs and dances from their different countries. It is formal optional dress code tonight so I will be getting into my tux and girls into their nice duds. We are to dine with Donald, the Food & Beverage Director, at 7:00 pm. The show tonight at 9:30 is a return of singer/comedian John Charles. Not going! We agree that the entertainment on this cruise has been disappointing. There have only been two guest headline entertainers, who were mediocre at best. The rest of the shows have been by our cruise director or Jean Ann Ryan company performers. These performers are not as good as we have experienced on previous cruises. Regent again cutting back on expenses?? I hear that Regent's corporate entertainment head is no longer working there.
